The Shambhala Meditation Center in Rogers Park is growing antsy of their space and will soon be moving into Oprah's now vacant Oprah Store across the street from Harpo. According to DNA Info, the center will outfit the loft to offer meditation classes and host classes like yoga and flower arranging. And the basement, which was previously used as a stock room for merchandise is in the process of being re-zoned for community activities like town hall meetings and arts and crafts.
As this relocation pangs our insides and brings back the memories of when Oprah ruled Chicago, perhaps it's a bittersweet ending to the era of which Rosie O'Donnell brought ridiculousness to. After all, Oprah did want harmony in the world, a more centered self and Gail loved flowers. But it hurts to feel the end of an era even if the only light at the end of the tunnel is when the denizen of decoupage Rosie comes back for craft time.
