Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We're searching for a part-time associate editor to write about fashion, shopping, and all things retail in the Chicago area. Are you a blogger with a shopping problem, or a shopper with a blogging problem? Let us enable you!
The ideal candidate is obsessed with stores, trends, sales, and local fashion news, and has the journalism chops to investigate them all. We're looking for an independent, versatile writer, someone who takes pride in delivering clean and timely copy and loves uncovering scoops.
This is a freelance position encompassing a few posts a day. To apply, write a paragraph about yourself and a paragraph about why you're right for the gig and email it to jobs@racked.com with the subject line "Racked Chicago Associate Editor." If you've got a personal blog, Tumblr, or Twitter, include links to those as well. No resumes, please. If we like what we see, we'll follow up quickly.
