Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We recently had the chance to frolic at the Peggy Notebaert butterfly pavilion with Giuliana Rancic, in town to support The Naked Grape Wine's "Peel It Off to Give Back" event, to get the scoop on everything from Mama DiPandi's pasta to where Bill is off to now. Oh, and that hair.

After first refusing to do an impression of Joan Rivers and a lengthy discussion of Native American-patterned butterflies, Giuilana flounces her new sans extensions hair style and says Bill can't get enough of it. It's an obvious 10 out of 10.

Racked: We heard you were headed to RPM with Bill tonight. Each time we go we get the carbonara, what's your favorite Mama DiPandi recipe?

Giuliana Rancic: Bill was supposed to come with the baby, and we were going to have a nice weekend at home and do RPM but he had to go to Malaysia for work. My favorite at RPM? Well it'd have to be the buacatini pomodoro. It's Bill's favorite, too. That's why we made them put it on the menu. It was the most complicated dish even though it's the simplish dish to the taste. It took the chef over 30 tries to perfect his technique the way Mama DiPandi does it.

R: What about your favorite Mama DiPandi recipe that isn't on the menu?
G.R.: That's the favorite one I grew up with; her gnocchi. She makes it from scratch every Sunday, rolls the dough herself and it's the chewiest most delicious thing you've ever put in your mouth.

R: Who are you wearing?
G.R.: G by Giuliana Rancic blazer from HSN which is actually on sale right now, a Hanes tank top, Privicy jeans and Celine [on the left] Cartier [on the right] and rings by Bill Rancic.

R: Your manicure is insane who did that?
G.R.: Maya Apple in LA. She's this cute Japanese girl in LA that does Kelly Osbourne's nails.

R: Was sharing a makeup room with Ryan Secrest a mess?
G.R.: No, I love him. He was pretty tidy.

R: Ha! Gracefully stepping out of that one, can you name all of the Golden Girls? Who is your favorite?
G.R.: Betty White--love her, Bea Arthur, Estellea... wait... Estelle Getty and the one that passed away Rue McClanahan but my favorite has got to be Estelle.

R: So if the Fashion Police were the Golden Girls who would you be?
G.R.: I think I would probably be Be a Arthur because I'm the tallest one and I have a deep voice. Kelly would be Betty White, Joan would be Estelle because of the sharp tounge—she's funny and clever and George would be Rue McClanahan because she was kind of slutty. I mean, he's single and good-looking and ready for love.
