This Friday in Millennium Park the annual fashion show produced by The School of The Art Institute of Chicago will command the attention of thousands of spectators. A few months ago we learned that Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte will receive the legend of Fashion Award this year, and now we come across the knowledge that ELLE Fashion News Director Anne Slowey will emcee the show.
It's a tough act to follow last year's emcee, Paper Magazine's Mickey Boardman, but we have a feeling Anne may take a totally different approach than the humorous Mickey. Fashion Design Chair, Anke Loh notes that Anne's experience and knowledge of the industry spans 20 years, making her intellect in fashion sought after by even Stylista and Project Runway. She also hired baby waiters for a party once.
