What may just be one of the most promising events we've ever heard of is coming to The Loft on Lake on Sunday, April 28. It's the second annual Wedding Garage Sale where newlyweds are giving up all the bells and whistles that added pizzaz to their wedding day. Conceived by the Chicago Green Wedding Alliance (who knew), the recyclery is a bootstraps marketplace for for brides and vendors to recycle and sell wedding goods like Mason jars, vases, cake plates, banquet table craziness and even dresses and jewelry.

Besides the obvious incentive of saving a little cash putting together a wedding, the drinks and the DJ, this is a great opportunity to reuse stuff and save the world by creating a little less waste. Also at the event, Chicago Green Wedding Alliance members, comprised of do-gooders from vetting vendors are giving tips about how to create the wedding of your dreams while maintaining a dedication to sustainability. Drinks and DJ included.
