A simple shopping crawl down Michigan Avenue is all it takes to reveal an unexpected spring trend: Baseball caps are having a major moment.
Stores are stocking caps made for women in all different shapes and patterns, but wide as the variety may be, they all have one thing in common. Wind-induced bad hair days are no match for the baseball cap; we don't need to explain why because if you live in America, chances are you've donned one or two in your time.
You could express Chicago pride with a cap that pledges allegiance to one of our sports teams, but why not go trendier? Our picks include retro hats in solid neons, floral patterns to counteract the masculinity of the look, and one absolutely ridiculous (in a good way) mirrored topper from Urban Outfitters.
