Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Pop quiz: It's the middle of May, but it's still not warm enough for shorts. Or sandals. Or even a day without a coat.

So what do you do? Do you..
A.) Wear a sundress with sandals. Fashion is pain and you'd rather be uncomfortable than unseasonable.
B.) Pile on the layers, the black, the leather. It's not time for spring style until it actually feels like spring.
C.) Hybernate.
D.) Find a piece that mixes a spring feel with wintery comfort.

We don't know about you, but we'd pick the fourth option. The good news is, we've found a line that lives in a place where under 50 degree temps and vibrant spring hues can coexist. And apparently that place is Chicago.

C/FAN is a local line by Northwestern grad Christina Fan. Known for creating looks with fur and leather, Fan brings comfy-cool to shivering Chicagoans. Her line even has an entire collection devoted to neon fur, the perfect pieces the keep you warm in this chilly weather while still embracing the essence of spring style. Stock up on these candy-colored accesories, because Chicago weather has never been accused of being predictable.
