BUMMER: Piperlime in Lakeview is a No-Go

Wouldn't it be great if you could buy the freshest trends in clothing, shoes and accessories? If only there were somewhere in the city to shop an edited collection of brands, splurges and steals. For months most of Lakeview thought that Piperlime will be opening (if not even a small shop-in-shop) by the Brown Line on Southport in a newly constructed building. And according to its parent company, Gap, Piperlime sells exactly the aforementioned categories of splurges and steals.

Well, the rumor mills have gotten the best of you. Gap has announced that Piperlime will not be entering the 10,000 square foot store accompanying the normal Gap selection of women's, children's and men's. The store is on target for a fall 2013 opening.
