If there were ever a neighborhood that was having a garage sale/ rummage sale/ spring cleaning yard sale that was a sure bet about where to find great stuff, it would be Lincoln Park. It's one fancy schmancy neighborhood (minus some blocks on Clark Street) with philanthropic residents putting their most stylish feet forward.
So each year when Francis W. Parker, the neighborhood's favorite and most prolific charter school holds the Great Parker Garage Sale, the neighborhood residents jump at the chance to clean their closets, giving some great finds to the sale. This year's sale happens this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. Shop designer clothing and jewelry, housewares, electronics and furniture. And that philanthropic part? All proceeds benefit the Parker Scholarship Fund.
