After announcing plans to open a store in the thick of the Michigan Avenue shopping district at North Bridge, and then extending it's run into 2013, then saying it will stay open for the foreseeable future, Microsoft is opening a store in Shaumburg, next Friday, June 21. And guess what? They've wrangled Weezer as the headliner.
If you've got the chops to wait in line, start at 10PM at the mall entrance between Lord & Taylor and The Improv. The next morning, the grand opening ceremonies begin and the Microsoft employees will start jumping up and down like this. The store opens at 11AM and the staff will give out tickets for the one and only 7PM Weezer show.
