Twinkies Rising From The Dead; Superfans End Up as Fools

Hostess has just announced a comeback for Twinkies. Starting next month on July 15, the brand will begin selling star snacks Donettes, CupCakes and Twinkies. Months ago when the company announced liquidation, the nostalgia of Hostess hit the base-layer of rabid superfan's souls, sending Chicago into mass hysteria. Prices of Twinkies skyrocketed to $100 per box on eBay and lines were forming at grocery stores around the city. Now that the brand is under new management the cult-followd snacks will distribute to warehouses that directly supply convenience stores and bodegas, making them easier to get than ever--and the same price as before, too. Fools.
