Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Today's pick comes from Racked NY associate editor Nicola Fumo.
I picked up a Panama hat in while in Mexico (it was made in Ecuador, to add another layer) at a place that definitely doesn't have e-commerce, but this J. Crew option comes mighty close to my vacation find.
I love that the color is a nearly white straw hue, because all I want to wear this summer is black and white and the hat doesn't interfere. What it does do: keep my scalp from burning (cruel, cruel joke, Mother Nature) with a brim that's almost Theophilus London-sized. The end result is a mad flattering topper that keeps me sun-safe and looking cool.
