Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Ravinia has forever been a summer favorite. It's a romantic North Shore jaunt for steamy summer nights where you can catch some of the best musical talent in the world. For instance, this season Jewel, David Byrne & St. Vincent, Matchbox Twenty, GooGoo Dolls, Narek Hakhnazaryan and Sting. And guess what: It's always been about the lawn. Sure the pavilion is closer to the stage, but it doesn't allow you to gaze at the stars, the ability to spread a picnic blanket or stretch out and get closer to your date.
Well get ready lawn lovers, Ravinia has just launched the Lawncierge service. This season on select evenings, you can call ahead to reserve a more stylish space (like this one pictured), an elevated adult beverage menu and a special menu by Levy Restaurants. The Lawncierge is available on the north lawn near the Goldstein Gate and will run you $185 per person, up to ten people.
