Highly-anticipated restaurant OON finally opens on Randolph Street today and to say we're excited would be an understatement. Everything from its monosyllabic moniker to its encouragment of cell phone picture taking (our friends at Eater report that ownership has "installed lighting that is intended to highlight the food, and the photos of food") to the menu itself—American with Southeast Asian influences—is so trendy it hurts. And when you're at a place like that, what you wear matters.
We recommend breezy silhouettes and vibrant colors, not just because it's summer, but because that sort of attire feels appropriate for a place like this. While River North hotspots all but demand stiletto heels and bandage dresses, OON allows diners to be a bit more effortless.
Specifically, we love this Nicole Miller dress' ethnic details and think it would be perfect for a night at OON, especially when paired with nude wedges and chunky gold accessories, but the possibilities are endless. Whether you choose loose printed pants, a boho maxi dress or a bold romper, we know you'll get it right. Planning a trip? Tweet us a pic of what you'll be wearing @RackedChicago.
