A store that sells accordions and amplifiers may not seem like a huge attraction, but locals see Alywind in Avondale, aka Bea's Music Store, as an important part of the city's cultural equation.

Owner Bea Polverini needs $2,000 by this Friday or else will face foreclosure. So she's turned to an internet micro-fundraising site to try to save her small business. But as of this posting, Bea's gofundme campaign has only garnered $330. Said one donor, who contributed $50, "This needs to stay in the neighborhood."

Polverini points out that this store is the only one of kind in the city. If you'd like to see it stick around, you can contribute to the cause here.

Update: Alywind resolved its financial issues on the first Friday of July, 2013. To shop the store's selection of accordions, stop by 3219 N. Elston Avenue.
