Argo Tea, Chicago's very own tea retailer and cafe, is celebrating its ten year anniversary and its newest location in the Gold Coast area with a politico-studded party.
Argo Tea's CEO and founder Arsen Avakian, along with Mayor Rahm Emanuel, 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly, and Superintendent/CEO Chicago Park District Michael P. Kelly invite you to the opening of the new location on July 23. Like all other locations, this will feature sustainable elements; unlike others, this one will boast a greenhouse theme.
The event begins at noon at Wabash and Chestnut and will feature tai chi in the park, tea leaf reading lessons, face painting and more. Emmanuel will hold a press conference at 1pm, and tea blend samples will be provided from 4 to 7pm as guests listen to live music from Grammy nominee Carolyn Malachi.
