As Time Out notes, Chicago does not have an amazing art book fair of its own—unlike other major cities like New York and LA, which each host fairs by non-profit Printed Matter. That's about to change with the arrival on August 11 of Medium Cool.
The show, which is being held in event space/photography studio Prairie Production, will run from noon to 8pm and feature artsy publishers like Ooga Booga out of LA; Grand Rapids, MI's Issue Press and many more (the full list is here). Sales will be cash-only.
