Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Evanston's retail scene got a new major player on June 1, when furnishings and accessories store Paramour Bungalow opened. While we haven't made it in to the store yet, we do have a few deets on the young company.

The shop is owned by David Kafer and Jason Hall, also the team behind two-location boutique salon RED 7. What you'll find at Paramour Bungalow: colorful, contemporary home goods that'll liven up your space including bookends, bedding, tabletop items and stationary as well as furniture such as floor poofs, chairs and couches covered in patterns that range from ikat to lollipop. A grand opening celebration is planned for the end of the month.
