For months, there's been talk of a Steven Alan boutique opening in Chicago. Really, it's strange there isn't one here already—the New York-based shop owner and designer has already expanded to Boston, Atlanta, Connecticut, San Francisco and Los Angeles, where his holdings number four.
In an article in today's WWD, Alan reveals that they are about to more than double the number of stores across the country. "We could open three to six Steven Alan stores per year," he said. "Certain markets could support two or three stores." A Chicago location, along with boutiques in Dallas and Portland, will open by the end of 2013. Alan is also eying Nashville, where he's already scouted spaces.
