This year may be Chicago Fashion Fest's fifth, but 2013's installment of the event will bring some big changes. Specifically, it'll be bigger (and likely better) than its ever been before.
Come August 17, the fest will completely take over West Division Street for two days from noon to 10pm. By day, revelers can enjoy live music, cold beer from Smoke Daddy, Fat Pour and The Bedford and tons of shopping; at night, the street will become a runway for the Wicker Park After Dark fashion show.
Expect over 50 booths from local retailers, a kid's section, a nail bar tent and a hair chalking center. The rest of Bucktown will play host to Last Call's sidewalk sale, making this one of the city's biggest fashion fetes of the summer. A $5 fee will be collected at the door to benefit Lasalle II Elementary, Clemente High School and Y.E.S! (Youth Empowering Strategies).
