Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Break out your scrunchies, leggings and neon, because the North Shore Flea's next installment will draw inspiration from the movies of the '80s. The free-to-the-public flea is going to celebrate Molly Ringwald and friends with nostalgic items like movie posters and records, along with the usual spread of clothing, books, and local crafts.
Why the '80s? Because so many classic films were shot in the area—think Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Risky Business, and Sixteen Candles. The flea runs from 9am to 5pm on Sunday, August 11. Food will be provided by La Casa De Isaac.
