Last Friday, The Shops at Roosevelt Collection posted a cryptic message on their blog:

Something big is happening at The Shops at Roosevelt Collection the evening of August 8th, be sure to mark your calendars.

The buzz around the South Loop retail space has been building. As we noted earlier this month, a massive H&M outpost joined other big-name stores like ULTA and Z Gallerie. Turns out, that's reason enough to celebrate. They've updated the blog to announce the reason we've marked our calendars: On August 8th beginning at 5pm and through the weekend, you'll find deals, food truck snacks, and live performances to welcome the new shops.
