Group Fitness Craze Comes to Michigan Ave

Barre Bee Fit, the Chicago-based fitness concept, will open another location on Michigan Avenue on September 5. This will be the brand's fourth Chicago fitness destination. Barre Bee Fit has been praised for its ability to give participants a workout that combines cardio, strength training and conditioning. The fitness concept riffs off the popular barre workout craze.

The new location will include changing rooms, showers, a reception area, a vanity area, and of course, studios where classes take place. As for the classes, "Bees," the term coined for fans of the workout, can choose from "Barre Bee," the basic class, "Barre Brawl," which incorporates kickboxing moves, or "Barre Burn," which puts its students in a 95-degree studio.

Look out for the new location, which will crop up just south of the river.
