Magnificent Mile Shopping Fest Kicks Off with Christina Hendricks

Even if we're not still in school, the idea of restocking this time of year still rings true. These days, we're thinking more along the lines of perfect-for-Chicago sweaters instead of pencils and folders. To see the latest trends of the season, visit 401 N. Michigan Avenue on Thursday at 5:30pm. The styles featured on the runway come straight from the retailers at 900 N. Michigan Shops, The Shops at North Bridge, and Water Tower Place, so if you like what you see, you can hop over and start overhauling your fall wardrobe stat.

Before you shop though, don't miss Jason Derulo's performance on the runway, and Mad Men's Christina Hendricks as she hosts the evening. The runway show will kick off the 12-day Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival. Other events through the week include concerts and food-focused demos.—Moira Lawler
