Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Need some Labor Day weekend plans? Head to Logan Square August 31 and September 1 for Remix Chicago (formerly Ravenswood Remix), a huge recycled and repurposed art fair. The fair benefits Friends of Goethe School, a not-for-profit organization that supports a Logan Square public school.

Along with items like artist Staci Sterenberg's skull mosaics (pictured above), the fair will have live music and food vendors. You'll also find workshops on topics like recycled fashion and recycled gardening, the latter of which is being taught by the Chicago Botanic Garden. Interested shoppers should also note that the fair has a new location this year on Milwaukee Avenue between Fullerton and California.—Shelby Blitz
