OAKBROOK—LOFT re-opens today in Oakbrook Center after being closed for quite some time for a bit of a facelift. The store is located on the lower level near Nordstrom and is stocked with all of the newest arrivals for fall as well as transitional pieces and summer favorites. [Racked Inbox]
LOGAN SQUARE—Remix Chicago goes down Saturday and Sunday in Logan Square. Not ringing a bell? Some may remember it as "Ravenswood Remix." Though it's changed names and moved to a new hood, it's still described as an "indie art fest." [Chicago Magazine]
STREETERVILLE—Beauty events are always great, but it doesn't get much better than this: Saks throws an event highlighting (no pun intended) Chanel's top-notch products on September 11 and 12. A national makeup artist for the brand will appear to help customers define their looks. [Saks]
THE LOOP—Need a break from outdoor Labor Day festivities? Head to the Art Institute of Chicago for "Dressed to the Nines: Flowers in Your Hair," a $25 ($15 for members) ticket to peruse the Impressionism, Fashion and Modernity exhibit in the presence of a cash bar. [Chicago Magazine]
