Souchi, the two-week-old boutique on Webster Avenue, might just get you excited for the cooler weather that'll set in in the next few months. The store is the baby of Suzi Johnson, a designer best known for her knitwear, but not everything in the store was designed by Johnson. According to a rep for the store, about 80% of Souchi's wares were created by the designer, but the other items aren't entirely different—all the merch falls into a genre described as "easygoing casual luxury wear."
You'll find MOTHER denim, Enza Costa cotton tees, and Johnny Farah belts as well as Johnson's own pieces at this store. Stock up on paper-thin basics for the last few days of summer, but keep in mind that knitwear is the main main attraction at Souchi and when you live in Chicago, it's never too early to pick up a few thick sweaters.
