Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you haven't been bitten by the Vaunte bug yet, now might be the time to do it. It's eBay meets Barneys meets a sleepover where you swap duds you've mentally outgrown with other fashion-minded friends. Vaunte lets influential people (think stylists and editors) sell used pieces from their closets, offering the public little pieces of their fabulous lives.
Why do we bring this up now? Because the site has decided to momentarily turn its attention from NYC fashion editors and LA stylists to shine some light on a Chicagoan. Abby Dunn, local PR maven, isn't the first Midwesterner to have her closet featured on the site, but that doesn't make it any less exciting. Dunn sells a few pieces here, including a fabulous printed DVF number and a pair of "very loved" Christian Louboutins for just $160. (Don't blink. You read that right.)
