Chicago design darling Azeeza Khan takes Atelier AZZA's spring/summer 2014 Algebra Collection to the runway on August 15. But the fashion show, a collab with Refinery 29, isn't the only thing Khan will be celebrating this month.
The designer, who set up shop in the Shops at North Bridge earlier this year, has been getting tons of national attention for her vibrant, sparkle-saturated designs. You've likely seen her ruffle-hem dresses, embellished blazers and bejeweled collars around town on some of the city's most stylish. It took her less than a year to expand her business beyond the store she's already set up —R29 reports that she'll soon open at the 900 N. Michigan Shops.
As for the fashion show, we imagine it'll be filled with signs of what's to come for both the designer and the brand. It's titled "Infinite Summer," which we can only guess is referential to Khan's never-ending commitment to incorporating bold colors and breezy cuts in her designs, regardless of season. The show is free to the public and snacks/drinks will be served, but bring some cash along anyway—we suspect you'll want to snag an item or two from the line, which will be sold at the show, and soon enough at the 900 N Michigan Shops as well. RSVP here.
