Welcome to Racked Chicago's search for Chicago's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile eight smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite.

Flywheel's Sho Pettaway describes herself with two letters: "O.C.—Out of Control." She explains: "I'm never asking 'why?' I always ask, 'why not?'" The former paralegal once thought she'd become a lawyer, but the lure of the gym was too much to resist. Now, she teaches just about everything, but her favorite class is Flywheel Indoor Cycling/Step/Cardio.

As you can tell from her enormous smile above, Sho isn't shy. "I believe less is more," she says. "If I could teach class in a bikini I would." In her spare time, she practices karate and the Korean martial art kuk sul and hangs out with her child, who she describes as "the cutest little 13-year-old in the world."
