Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Levi's has been busy this week. After its Mag Mile party last night, the juggernaut denim brand heads downtown tonight for its Station to Station event at—wait for it— Union Station. And be warned: this isn't your typical Tuesday-night soiree.
The public art project was dreamed up by multimedia artist Doug Aitken, and is billed as a "nomandic happening." We wish we could tell you more about what to expect, but all we've got is a trippy mash-up of details including a procession of African headdresses, an installation of Nomadic sculptures, a gospel-and-blues performance, and branded yurts serving as temporary artists' studios. In other words, this is worth blowing off your weeknight yoga for.
The ticketed event kicks off at 6:30 tonight, and you can score your passes here for $25 a pop.
