LINCOLN PARK—Charlie Trotter, the world-renowned chef who many consider responsible for the recent Chicago dining renaissance, continued his run of well-publicized tirades since his retirement. After allowing a group of high school photography students to stage an exhibit in his shuttered restaurant, he reportedly berated them and kicked them out. His response? "That's not how I roll."

AVONDALE—The first of many high-profile fall openings is happening this weekend. Honey Butter Fried Chicken, the offspring of cult underground dinners, is finally opening its doors on Saturday. The menu item to try? The fried chicken, of course.

STREETERVILLE—After leaving the highly-successful restaurant he founded and co-owned with his brother, word of Mike Sheerin's new gig is out. The fascinating chef is going Italian in a partnership with 45-year industry vet Dan Rosenthal's humongous project Cicchetti.

RIVER NORTH—How hard is it to get into one of the hottest bars to come along in a while, Three Dots & Dash? In an interview with cocktail guru Paul McGee, turns out that it's pretty hard. He says it's not that hard to get River North patrons to drink his tiki drinks instead of vodka tonics, however.
