Things are a-changing at downtown department stores Macy's, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue, which all got facelifts this fall. But the upgrade we're most excited about (well, this week, anyway) is at Macy's State Street location.
The brand-spankin' new cosmetics department will make its first gleaming appearance sometime this week. An area called "Impulse Beauty" will give shoppers the chance to test out products, like at Sephora. Shoppers will also find a few new products in the lineup, including makeup from Michael Kors, and Benefit will offer new services such as eyebrow tints and waxes.
In other department-store news, Saks Fifth Avenue is merging its currently freestanding men's store into its 700 N. Michigan Avenue space, and there's a newly revamped shoe department at Neiman Marcus that we can't wait to hoof it to. —Moira Lawler
