Ladies and gentlemen, we have an opening date. We took a stroll down Walton Street this past weekend, and a little birdie (okay, a giant sign) told us that Church's English Shoes will open on Thursday. We sneaked a peek inside. The space was wee (dare we say shoebox-size?) and all we saw were bare shelves lining the walls. We hope the folks of the stately brand hired a team of magic elves to get the store ready for its Thursday debut. But if anyone has a prayer of pulling off a miracle, it's—bada bing!— Church's.
