Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

You have a few more days to take advantage of the September specials at the theSpa at theWit, and there's one treatment in particular that shines. The Bejeweled Manicure and Pedicure includes a smoothing exfoliation, warm towels, and (bonus!) a healing massage. Typically $50 for a manicure and $75 for a pedicure, the services are going for $50 and $65, respectively, this month. (Okay, so it's not a steep savings, but it leaves you a little extra dough for grabbing a cocktail downstairs at State & Lake.)

We asked spa director Julia Simmons to fill us in on the hottest shades for fall; here's what she had to say:

"Popular colors have been butter London's Cake-Hole, a creamy, bright pink; Cotton Buds, an opaque white; Bobby Dazzler, a metallic silver-gold; and Silly Billy, a creamy, fiery orange. Just this morning, guests in our nail suite were talking about how they are moving away from the 'party nail' and looking to see more traditional nail styles." And what will we see at holiday bashes? "Undoubtedly, color will deepen as the season progresses and we will see more metallic and some 3-D accents," Simmons says.
