With locations in Old Town, Lincoln Park, and the North Shore, Shred415 lives up to its name: Give it some time, and it'll shred. you. good. (So we hear. Look, we're beginners, ok?)
Owners Bonnie Micheli and Tracy Roemer (pictured) cooked up a custom, 60-minute workout that alternates between treadmills and weights. How well does it work? Brand new MyZone heart monitors are now available at the Lincoln Park Studio, and will be at all the locations soon. Shredders wear their straps during class, and get an email detailing their progress about 30 minutes later; a few times a week, you'll get an overall fitness report. (Yep, it's all down in writing. So beware the second Three Dots cocktail.)
So, the heart strap is the accessory of the season at Shred415, but what else should be in your getting-ripped wardrobe? Here's the workout gear Micheli and Roemer can't live (or lift) without. "Head-to-toe, we will outfit you in the hottest fitness looks for fall," they vowed. Take it away, ladies.
