Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
You can now get a weekly dose of, um, Dose. Starting on Sunday, the market that specializes in beautifully made fashion, food, and design will take place every week through December 15. And, it has a new home: formerly headquartered at River East Art Center, the shopping bonanza will now set up its stalls at 1st Ward at Chop Shop, the brand-new event space in Wicker Park.
Each weekly market will feature 20 to 24 vendors, and a common theme—or "story," in Dose speak— will run among the goods. For this weekend's event, dubbed "Dose Redux," the market will celebrate its new stomping grounds by showcasing Wicker Park's boutiques and restaurants. It will also highlight 10 new-to-Dose vendors including linens designer Modernplum and edgy fashion designer Sky Cubacub.
On October 6, the "Get Lucky" market will offer affordable finds and the fun #dosehearts game, which lets shoppers flirt over artist-made goods; future events are titled "Kitchen Bliss," "Art Look," and more.
The full lineup is available here (make sure you sign up for Dose Mail), and the event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each—whee!— week.
