Dovima Paris Comes to Chicago This Week

The women of Paris are a constant source for fashion inspiration and sometimes we wish it were a bit easier to just hop on a plane, head to Paris, and get our shop on. But for those of us who can't puddle-hop for a quick shopping fix, Dovima Paris has something for you: an invitation only presentation in Chicago.

Former Director of Accessories at Saint Lauren and Givenchy as well as Vice President of Accessories at Polo Ralph Lauren, Dovima owner and designer Jane Pendry creates made-to-order "dresses that flatter, dresses that make us feel happy, confident and attractive," according to her website. All of Dovima's dresses are made in France from fabrics that come straight from Italy's Lake Como district.

Pendry will be in town with Dovima's new fall collection at a private residence in the Gold Coast from Wednesday to Saturday. Appointments allow customers to try on dresses in different fabrics, styles and colors, and garments can be tailored to shoppers' needs.
