What are you doing for lunch today? If you answered anything besides "why, cruising over to Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, of course," we urge you to reconsider. Today, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the West Loop Auction House is previewing goods from its Vintage Couture and Accessories auction, which opens online tomorrow.
It's one thing to ogle the goodies—which range from a snakeskin Judith Leiber clutch to a polka-dot-print, black-and-white Chanel dress—online. But, as the house cautions in its "buying at auction" tips, "the best way to obtain information regarding specific lots... is to view the items in person." Which is why these free-to-the-public previews take place.
But whether you come thisclose to a vintage mink today or check it out online tomorrow, why wait to browse? Take a look at some of the gorgeous items this auction has in store, right now.
