CHICAGO—In case you didn't notice, temperatures in Chicago hit record lows earlier this week. Many restaurants temporarily closed due to burst pipes and concerns for employee safety; while many offered deals (and some still are) to entice diners to leave the house. In case you don't want to leave, here's a guide on ordering delivery.

CHICAGO—Eater's list of the 38 essential restaurants in Chicago got an update this week, re-adding acclaimed barbecue spot Lillie's Q and bringing Sticky Rice and Edzo's Burger Shop aboard.

LOGAN SQUARE—Details on the highly-anticipated new project from the guys behind Scofflaw finally came to light. It will be two floors with a rowdy dance floor, cheap booze, bottled cocktails, and tamales with chili.

NORTH CENTER—Chicago will get its very first cider bar soon. The team from Fountainhead is planning a place, The Northman, that will serve well over 100 ciders.
