So, this happened: someone got a five-finger discount on a baby possum over the weekend. Critters Pet Shop in Elgin was robbed of a baby sugar glider last Friday, reports NBC Chicago, and staffers are concerned that the wee creature will die if it's not taken back soon.
On its Facebook page, the store posted: "We need to make this very clear this is an unweaned baby and it needs its mama for food and body heat. ...Please bring [the sugar glider] back soon so it can be with its mama and we will not press any charges. This is serious." Anyone who has info on the missing animal should call 630.584.0200.
