Charles Tyrwhitt, a British menswear retailer, opened its first Chicago store in the Loop today. The 2,300-square-foot shop offers formal cotton shirts in three different fits; there are also silk ties, silver cuff links, raincoats, fine calf-leather shoes, cotton-cashmere sweaters, raincoats, and wool suits.
So, this is not your new go-go for cargo pants, but company founder Nicholas Wheeler has faith in Chicago gentlemen. "American men love the concept of smart dressing with British style," he said in a press release. "The love the really tailored fit."
