Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Normally, we leave all the food-and-drink fodder to our pals at Eater—but since it's Fitness Week, and we have clean eating on the brain, allow us to veer off the fashion path for this juicy scoop. We hereby present: Owen + Alchemy.

The new juice bar expected to open this spring in either Wicker Park, Bucktown, or Logan Square. The project is the brainchild of Anne M. Owen—a Chicago native with a healthy-living obsession and a publishing background—chef Jared Van Camp, and Element Collective.

Designed to look like a sleek apothecary, the counter-style cafe will offer cold-pressed juices made with ingredients such as rosemary, flax seed oil, and local berries. There will also be a retail area stocked with goods such as milled flour and healthy sauces, and the spot will offer juice and super-food programs, curbside pickup, and delivery for corporate groups. Eater, of course, can fill you in on more.
