New Balance opened its second Chicago location yesterday in Hyde Park. Formerly a BankFinancial branch, the new 2,100 square feet store will carry a large selection of running shoes and classics like 998s and 574s. Those who seek a special fit will find the brand's extra-narrow to extra-extra-wide sizes.

Runners aren't the only crowd who have a reason to celebrate. Sneakerheads, the Hype Park shop will carry a limited-edition run of classic New Balance designs in early 2015.
