RIVER NORTH—Chicago is less than a month away from getting its first location of the iconic burger empire Shake Shack. Take a look at some exclusive photos of the almost-finished restaurant at Ohio and Rush in River North.

STREETERVILLE—Cicchetti, the Venetian-inspired Italian restaurant in the Northwestern University Hospital building that garnered near-universal praise from critics, is shockingly closing on Saturday.

GOLD COAST—Paul Kahan's Nico Osteria, the beloved chef's swanky Italian spot in the Thompson Hotel, picked up a major honor this week when Esquire named it one of 2014's best new restaurants in America.
