Laundry, it's a battle that can never be won, but with the launch of service app Washio in Chicago, laundry day just got easier. Available on iPhone and Android, the Washio app allows customers to select a pickup and drop off time from 6am to 12 midnight. Runners, who they call "ninjas", bring reusable bags during the selected half hour window and return 24 hours later with clothes professionally washed and folded or dry cleaned. Similar to apps like Uber and Lyft, Washio uses in-app billing, meaning no cash needed.

To sweeten the deal, Washio ninjas will arrive with a fresh cookie in hand for every order at a home or office, so you don't need to get bundled up to grab a snack. They understand Chiberia.

Headquartered in Santa Monica, California, Washio launched in March 2013. Chicago is the fourth market for the laundry service app, following launches in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, DC.
