Local designer Jan Lewis will showcase her products in this year's Oscar swag bags. Like last year, Lewis will give out hand-painted bangles; this year, she's also doling out neckties and music-themed scarves inspired by her husband, jazz musician Ramsey Lewis. To see if the Oscar swag gives Lewis any famous new fans, keep an eye on social media:

"I wish I knew if any of the stars wore my bangles as a result of last year's [gift bags]," Lewis says. "I was still such a rookie in business at that time that I didn't even think to figure out a way to see if any of them did. However, this year we enclosed a card asking them if they might post a photo wearing our bangles or tie. I am very much hoping that this year some will do just that!"
