A new, stylist-curated shop is opening in Lakeview on March 8. Called Standout Style Boutique, the store is owned by Tamika Maria Price, who wrote the book on Standout Style (um, literally.)
"After building my clientele the last five years as a stylist and releasing my style book, opening a boutique just felt like a natural progression," Price said in a press release. "Opening a brick and mortar is the scariest, most amazing thing I've done in my career. I am very excited."
At the women's store, "my main goal is to offer women a chic, comfortable setting to enjoy the experience of shopping," Price said. "Nothing will be over $250, and we'll carry some plus-size options as well." Clothing and accessories will be from lines that are produced in the U.S., and many items will come from Chicago designers.
The store's grand opening bash will be on March 15. Save the date—we hear there will be champagne and desserts from Two Sisters Catering.
