Lincoln Park just got a new salon. Nichole.Beck Hair Boutique, now open at 1130 West Diversey Parkway, is the passion project of friends and stylists Jana Hutmacher and Sarah Gutierrez. The idea to open the boutique hatched—as so many brilliant ideas do—over a glass of wine, and the spot derives its name from Jana's middle name (Nichole) and Sarah's maiden name (Beck.)
The industrial-style space offers cuts, styling, smoothing, coloring with Redken products, and waxing for both men and women."We believe in wearable, sexy, fun hair that even the busiest woman can achieve on her own," Hutmacher said in a press release.
A claim to fame? This is the first exclusive Unite salon in Chicago. The line, which comprises 30-some haircare products, is sulfate-free, paraben-free, and PETA-certified.
