There's a shopping event in Roscoe Village tonight that you should know about—presuming you like goodie bags. Dubbed, ahem, "It's in the Bag," the shindig takes place from 5 to 9 p.m.
Some 14 stores on Roscoe Street are participating, and here's how the whole goodie thing goes down: after making a first purchase at a participating shop, guests get a gift bag filled with $100 worth of merchandise (think stationery from Village Paperie, tea towels from Fixture, and more.) Then, when they make additional purchases at the other shops, boutique-hoppers get a "mystery envelope." Envelopes are stuffed with gift cards for everything from brow waxes to Pilates classes, and one shopper wins the grand prize of a Roscoe Village shopping spree.
Quick primer: The participating shops are all between Damen and Oakley. And as for those post-shopping snacks, the cute Volo Restaurant Wine Bar (which has a heated patio) is right in the 'hood.
